Two Person Guided New Brunswick Canada Black Bear Hunt (Spring 2008) 6-Nights and 5-Days (Gun or Bow) May/June - Donated by Andre Godin/Miramichi Inn - $4,400.00
|
|
Guided New Brunswick Canada Spring Black Bear Hunt (Gun or Bow) For Two At The Miramichi Inn (4-Star Resort). 6-Nights and 5-Days with the buyer to arrive on Sunday, Hunt Monday through Friday and leave Saturday after breakfast. Hunt includes accommodations, guide, meals, license, transportation during the hunt, and preparation of bear for meat.
Transportation to and from the Miramichi Inn responsibility of the buyer(s). You will be the guests of Andre & Susan Godin and will stay at their 4 star resort. The Miramichi Inn provides perhaps the best black bear hunting experience in the "Picture Province" with accommodations that are unsurpassed. Hunt must be taken in May or June of 2008 with the exact dates to be arranged.
Hunting and Salmon fishing on the Little "Sou-west" may be an "in-the-woods" experience but the hospitality and cuisine are definitely not! Daily maid service and the quality and variety of the menu are carefully attended to. Seafood, including lobster, cod, scallops, haddock and salmon are expected in New Brunswick and are beautifully presented. So are beef, pork and poultry entrées. All pastries and breads are baked in the well appointed kitchen.
Miramichi Inn offers one of the best quality Black Bear hunts that you will ever find in North America.
Our success in the past will prove it. We have maintained an over 85% success rate in the last fifteen years.
The season runs from April 15th to the end of June, but we start taking hunters around May 10th only, as in the springtime, it takes some time to get the bears accustomed to eating again, following their long winter fast.
Our lodge can accommodate up to twelve hunters or fishermen at any given time, but we limit ourselves to about 30 hunters a season for Black Bear.
We can almost guarantee you a Black Bear, based on experience from past hunts. Whether you choose to hunt using Bow, Black Powder or Rifle, we will set up geared to your specific needs.
Our guides are experienced and professional, and will teach you the proper (and successful) way to hunt Black Bear. Every morning, during your stay here, you will accompany them on their daily routine of baiting, and choosing the proper stand for you.
Proper care will be taken in getting your trophy ready for the taxidermist. Join the rest of our successful hunters and come on up for the hunt of a lifetime.
Check out our references and take a look at our video on Black Bear with gun and Bow - which you can order by sending $20.00 refundable.
The layout of the Miramichi has been designed with guest comfort and convenience in mind. From the well located and comfortably furnished rooms, the main lodge sitting room complete with full log fireplace, the convenient "wet room" where guests returning from fishing or hunting can comfortably change out of wet gear (there is even a full sized pool table in the wet room) and a conveniently placed gun room, to the immaculate dining area and small office which exists for those who "insist" on staying in contact with the office back home! All that you might require or wish for is here!
The accommodation at our Inn can best be summarized using the CANADA SELECT evaluation which places us in the FOUR STAR rating category - sharing the top spot in the province with only three other locations. (Canada Select is the dominant accommodation rating program in Canada). Also, and probably more important, is that the Miramichi Inn has been granted a "FIVE CHECK" hospitality rating, which is a rating based on guests themselves providing an evaluation of the lodgings and meals. This is the HIGHEST POSSIBLE RATING and can be defined as "Exceptional standards of hospitality and personalized service -- a total dedication to guest comfort and service."

experience we'd want our sons and daughters to have on
their first hunt: to wake in the morning with the
anticipation of catching a rainbow trout, watching the
mallards circle or to see that clay burst into
fragments with a well aimed shot; of spending the
afternoon with friends walking the fields, watching
the dogs quarter the field in front of you and
retrieving that roster you brought down, the roster
whose colors are as vibrant as an open flame and that
rose like a bull elephant charging from the brush,
cackling as it fought to gain the sky an experience
that leaves you so excited by the day's events that
you do not even taste the fantastic meal; during the
evening's telling, you can't recall how you made the
shot not even seeing the front bead or remembering
mounting the gun. Afterwards you go to bed because
that will help make tomorrow come quicker, finally you
fall asleep while anticipating doing it all again the
next day..

"Sportsman's Dream" by Larry Zach Donated by: H & S Propeller Shop, Inc.
|
|
The setting for Sportsman's Dream is an interwoven pattern of cover types providing habitat for a variety of wildlife species. Strips of prairie grasses, native forbs, and annuals border overgrown fence lines and forest edges. An old farmstead in the background hints of past dreams and labors. Afternoon sun bathes the landscape and distant clouds in a rich, warm light. Suddenly the tranquility is broken. Within seconds a covey of bobwhite quail and four roosters break out of the cover and head for safety. Two whitetail does and a heavy racked buck come to sudden alert. Something has interrupted the evening solitude. Is it a fox, a coyote, a bobcat, or maybe a hunter? The viewer is left to decide. This is the scene captured in Larry Zach's latest release, Sportsman's Dream.

"Keeping The Traditions" by Mark Anderson
|
|
A South Dakota limit explodes from the grasses of an abandoned farm site. In the background we see an old truck and granary that once served as billboards advertising our favorite products, and now those that remain serve as landmarks to travelers.
On October 5, 2004 Mark Anderson was announced the winner of the 2004 Federal Duck Stamp contest. Mark's striking design of a pair of hooded merganser's on a golden pool of water took first place honors over 223 other entries in this year's competition. His winning image will grace the 2005-06 Federal Duck Stamp which is purchased by hunters and stamp collectors nationwide. The coveted Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest is known as the most prestigious and lucrative art competition in the world.
Growing up in South Dakota, Mark Anderson developed a love of the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were not only a favorite pastime, they were a way of life. As an adult, Mark's devotion to nature fueled another interest, painting. He is a self-taught wildlife artist who began painting 1980. Like all true callings, painting became his full-time commitment by 1993.
A true outdoorsman, Mark can be seen photographing as often as hunting or fishing. He always travels with a camera and is prepared to capture "live" moments of inspiration. These excursions provide the knowledge and research necessary to realistically capture wildlife. Mark is passionate about depicting wildlife realistically. The focal point of his paintings is the wildlife itself; rural elements are incorporated to add depth and dimension. Mark has the unique ability to produce paintings that represent "anywhere USA." Although he calls South Dakota home, his work portrays scenes reminiscent of any rural environment.

"Places Remembered" by James Meger
|
|
James A. Meger taught art from 1973-1979. During this time he consulted with his mentor, artist Les Kouba. In 1979, he resigned from teaching. His first limited edition print "Wildside" was released and quickly sold out. It was also announced in December of 1979 that he had won the 1980 Minnesota Duck Stamp print.
Today, Meger feels that his previous education, which included three years of pre-med, as well as hunting experience, has educated him for the muscular and skeletal structure needed to paint his realistic depictions of wildlife. Meger wants to tell a story with each of his paintings. Some of his paintings have taken up to five months to create. Since 1982, he has included hidden elements in his paintings. The curious and keen observers seek out the hidden images. From this, Meger has been known as the artist who paints "More than Meets the Eye."

"Bountiful Day" by Scot Storm
|
|
As a youngster, Scot Storm discovered his talent for drawing, sketching and design. These skills eventually led him to North Dakota State University where he earned a degree in architecture. While working in this field, Scot's love of hunting and the outdoors drew him to explore the challenges of wildlife art. In 1987, as a self-taught artist, he entered the Minnesota Duck Stamp contest and placed second. Encouraged by the acceptance of his initial work, he continued to enter stamp contests and enjoyed his first top award by winning the Indiana Pheasant Stamp competition in 1991.
Thereafter, Scot's interest in wildlife art became such a passion, that in 1999, he decided to give up his career in architecture and devote himself full- time to painting. Scot was then able to challenge himself in every aspect of his creations from composition, to lighting, to the accuracy and psychology of color. His paintings of waterfowl, hunting dogs and other animals all reveal his attention to the fine details that breathe life into every image and draw the viewer into a scene.

"Shots in the Distance" by Greg Alexander
|
|
Shots in the Distance catch the attention of this magnificent bull elk and his harem. Acute accuracy of remote wilderness scenes is what award winning wildlife artist Greg Alexander has come to be known by.
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, he is basically self-taught as a wildlife artist. He and his wife and two daughters live in northern Wisconsin where he revels in the idea that there is more wildlife and landscape within a short distance of his home than he can paint in a lifetime. He works from photographs of landscapes in which he places birds and animals. His painting was featured on the 1997 Wisconsin Pheasant Stamp. He is also active in conservation.

"Aroma of Fall" by Terry Redlin
|
|
Pause for a moment and return to a simpler time and place when the aroma of burning leaves in the fall air signaled the changing of seasons. It was a more innocent era before an expanding population created environmental concerns, and when harvesting of summer's foliage was a small town ritual. Careful observers will also see in this painting other fading memories from America's romantic past: the prominent town bulletin board, the flag positioned proudly outside the general store and the familiar Maple Drive and Elm Street. The distinctive lamppost and stone sidewalk tell us this scene is just down the block from "Autumn Evening."
